Jamaica cruise guide

.
Jamaica's north-west coast is home to the rocky cliffs and vast sandy beaches of Negril, famous for its spectacular sunsets. Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, along with Dunn's River Falls.

Montego Bay, or Mo Bay as it is known, is the island's second-largest city. . Restaurants, bars and shops are centred on Gloucester Avenue, nicknamed the Hip Strip, and nearby is the white-sand Doctors Cave Beach, famous for its mineral springs that are said to have therapeutic powers.
From here, cruise passengers can take the 20-minute walk into the city or jump on one of the tour buses for the five-minute ride. Taxis are also available.

Ocho Rios is more tourist-friendly, and with its craft market and duty-free shops it has more of a relaxed atmosphere. Less touristy than the other resorts, this lush enclave is noted for its stunning setting by attracted Hollywood stars and a string of celebrities (Errol Flynn: swashbuckling film star).
It is the busiest port of the three and ships dock closer to the town which is just a five- to 10-minute walk away. Or take the quick two-minute hop-on buses/ taxis that line up outside the terminal.
